Description
The Résidence des Patriotes, located in Belœil in Montérégie, is an intermediate resource centre that allows seniors suffering from cognitive deficits (Alzheimer’s, dementia, etc.) to live in a friendly, safe, clean and well-adapted environment. The residence has a capacity of 50 spots, including 39 intermediate resource spots, a temporary intermediate resource spot and 9 private accommodation spots. The Résidence des Patriotes offers full services, 24 hours a day, including care, supervision and assistance. Competent, friendly and qualified staff provide the care services. The employee to resident ratio is 1/8 during the day and evening, and 1/16 at night. This ratio ensures that residents are given focused care throughout the day and during recreational activities. A doctor and nurses monitor the residents. In 2004, the CSSS Richelieu-Yamaska and the Résidence des Patriotes agreed to reserve 38 accommodation spots and a temporary intermediate resource spot for clients with cognitive deficits.
