• Founded in 2004, the Association des Conseillers en hébergement pour Aînés du Québec (ACHQ) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to ensure the integrity and competence of its members.
• The members of the ACHQ are professionals with training in social work, nursing, gerontology or with several years of experience working with seniors.
• The work of the ACHQ advisors is to support seniors and their families in their efforts to find an accommodation resource in the private network that will meet their degree of autonomy.
• ACHQ members visit and evaluate the different types of resources in order to verify the quality of care and services and work in collaboration with stakeholders in the health and social services network (hospitals, CLSCs, rehabilitation centers).
• ACHQ members demonstrate their commitment to seniors and their families requiring their expertise by respecting a code of ethics in the performance of their duties.
