Description
Le Champêtre is a specialized intermediate resource, located in St-Ambroise-de-Kildare on the banks of the L'Assomption River, on the limits of St-Charles-Borromée, in a peaceful environment a little set back from the city, close to the Lanaudière regional hospital center (CHRDL). The two-story establishment with elevator has 80 units. The Le Champêtre residence aims to optimize functional autonomy with a view to returning home or to a living environment best suited to the person's needs. We are therefore talking here about short-stay and transitional accommodation. Three programs are offered: functional recovery (UTRF), assessment-orientation and variable intensity rehabilitation (RIV). This latter program is reserved for residents who have undergone orthopedic surgery. The External Resource program for elderly people involved in their reconditioning (REPAIR) aims to return home or to a living environment adapted to their needs. The people in this program must participate in their recovery. The average length of stay is 45 days. We welcome around 550 people per year, the majority of residents losing their autonomy and whose return or maintenance is compromised in the short term, following hospitalization. The residents are mainly seniors aged 75 and over, but we sometimes welcome young adults between 25 and 30 years old.
