Description
Habitat 1460 is a non-profit residence for the elderly located in Villeray. Habitat 1460 is an intergenerational project, a model unique to Montreal. At the root of the intergenerational project is the concept that enables families to live near their aging parents. Habitat 1460 provides 72 homes to meet the needs of semi-autonomous seniors: rooms as well as 3½ and 4½. Also, Habitat 1460 has 49 rooms to accommodate non-autonomous seniors with 24-hour service. Several activities are planned, including activities for non-autonomous seniors, in which they participate to the best of their abilities; these comprise Pilates, stretching, weight training, chair yoga, line dancing lessons, computer, chess courses and lectures.
