A simple process From worry to peace
of mind, in three steps

You don’t have to understand everything at once.
Our role is to guide you step by step.

  • 1

    You share your needs
    and we listen

An advisor takes the time to understand the real situation: level of independence, medical needs, preferences, budget.

  • 2

    We select the
    residences for you

Thanks to our knowledge of the network, we identify the 2 or 3 establishments that truly match your situation, not just those that pay to appear first.

  • 3

    You visit
    We stay with you

We prepare your visits, answer your questions, and continue to support you until your loved one is settled in. We also follow up after the process.

Human service

Always a real person to answer you

We understand your situation This decision is
one of the most difficult
you will have to make

“Will this residence really take care of my mom?”

You are asking the right question. And that is exactly why our advisors visit residences, speak with staff, and understand the nuances you cannot see on a website.

Your loved one deserves better than a Google list. And you deserve someone you can speak to honestly without sales pressure, without a commercial filter.

Our expertise We support
all situations

No matter where your loved one is in their journey, we have already helped families in the same situation.

  • Alzheimer’s and dementia

Residences with secure units, specialized staff, and programs tailored to each stage. We visit these facilities regularly. We know exactly which questions to ask and the ones most families forget.

  • Hospital discharge

You have 48 hours to find a place? It happens. Our advisors know real-time availability across the entire network. We have already handled urgent situations in less than a day.

  • Loss of autonomy

24-hour nursing care, assistance with activities of daily living, integrated medical follow-up. We look for the residence that matches your loved one’s current situation, not the one from six months ago.

  • Tax credits and financial assistance

Home support tax credit, certificate of non-autonomy, involuntary separation declaration. An advisor informs you about available assistance programs and ensures you receive the maximum.

  • Near you

Montreal, Laval, South Shore, North Shore, Quebec City, and many other regions. We know the residences in your area.

  • Crisis support

Is your loved one unwilling to move into a residence? Our advisors have the experience to help with the conversation and the transition.

Frequently asked questions What families often
ask us

If you have a question that isn’t answered here, call us directly. We prefer to talk.

Yes, 100%. Partner residences pay fees to Résidences Québec when an admission is completed. You pay nothing, and this does not influence your advisor’s recommendations.

In urgent situations (hospital discharge), our advisors can find availability within a few days. In planned situations, we take the time needed, usually a few weeks to identify the best options.

Yes. Complex medical cases, cognitive disorders, imminent hospital discharge, family conflicts: our advisors have already supported all of these situations. They work directly with the professionals already involved (CLSC, doctor, social worker) to get the full picture so you don’t have to explain everything again.

Often, yes, but most people underestimate what they are entitled to. An advisor calculates the real net cost after assistance programs: home support tax credit, certificate of non-autonomous status, involuntary separation declaration, addition of CLSC services. They complete the forms with you to obtain the maximum amount.

Yes, within what is fair. No one can force a competent adult, and our code of ethics prohibits any pressure. But refusal almost always comes from fear: our advisors meet with the person directly, address their concrete concerns, and accompany them during visits, which almost always changes their perception.
