The length of stay at Maison Carpe Diem varies for each person depending on their mobility and the type of medical care they need. Maison Carpe Diem also offers short-term accommodation options and welcomes several individuals for day care activities, in addition to providing in-home support.

Finally, the house and resource center offer support to relatives and friends throughout the disease. Every effort is made to ensure that the support and solutions provided constantly adapt to the needs of the individuals and their loved ones.

Since January 2010, the Alzheimer Society — Maison Carpe Diem has become Carpe Diem — Alzheimer Resource Center. This new, unique and autonomous entity has no territorial limits, which means it can operate on the regional, provincial, or international stage. Thus, Carpe Diem – Alzheimer Resource Center aims to offer individuals living with Alzheimer's disease and their families an alternative to institutional care, as well as to the traditional conception of support and services.
