Le r\u00e9seau de sant\u00e9 publique qu\u00e9b\u00e9cois compte 95 centres de sant\u00e9 et de services sociaux (CSSS). G\u00e9n\u00e9ralement, un CSSS r\u00e9gional englobe un CLSC (centre local de services communautaires), ainsi qu’un ou plusieurs \u00e9tablissements de sant\u00e9 tels un h\u00f4pital ou un CHSLD (centre de r\u00e9adaptation ou centre d’h\u00e9bergement de soins de longue dur\u00e9e).<\/span><\/p>\n

Trois types de CHSLD<\/a> cohabitent dans le syst\u00e8me de sant\u00e9 qu\u00e9b\u00e9cois\u00a0:<\/p>\n

  1. Les CHSLD publics<\/strong>. Enti\u00e8rement administr\u00e9s par le secteur public, les CHSLD publics\u00a0totalisent environ 29\u2009668 lits au Qu\u00e9bec.<\/li>\n
  2. Les CHSLD priv\u00e9s conventionn\u00e9s<\/a><\/strong>. Ces \u00e9tablissements sont g\u00e9r\u00e9s par des entreprises priv\u00e9es en partenariat avec le secteur public. Environ 63 CHSLD priv\u00e9s conventionn\u00e9s\u00a0<\/strong>existent au Qu\u00e9bec, pour un total de 6\u2009800 lits. Les services offerts dans les\u00a0CHSLD priv\u00e9s conventionn\u00e9s, de m\u00eame que les modalit\u00e9s d’admission et de fonctionnement, ressemblent en tout point \u00e0 ceux des CHSLD publics.<\/li>\n
  3. Les CHSLD priv\u00e9s non conventionn\u00e9s<\/a><\/strong>. Les\u00a0CHSLD priv\u00e9s non conventionn\u00e9s\u00a0appartiennent enti\u00e8rement au secteur priv\u00e9. La client\u00e8le est constitu\u00e9e de personnes \u00e2g\u00e9es autonomes et semi-autonomes qui n\u00e9cessitent plus ou moins une heure de soins par jour. L’ensemble des services est payable \u00e0 la carte, \u00e0 forfait ou au bail par les r\u00e9sidents, et ceci, en fonction de leurs besoins.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
